Buck's run in with Kaity Mattell

Have you read The Mattell Family Challenge? If you haven't you should. A few chapters ago Buck got a cameo appearance as out of character as could be and it was awesome!

She gave him a new outfit and hairstyle and a new attitude to boot. Then... she slapped him. Ha! So this is my commemorative image so I'll never forget just how awesome Buck really is!

Bloopers for Chapter 2.41

I have a lot more giggle shots saved up, but instead of bombarding you all I weeded through them and decided these are the best. Enjoy.

 

 

While trying to get a through the crowd shot of Ignacio and Raul so that I could show that Layla has made things up with Cyrus I paused and got a shot I absolutely did NOT expect. It's completely unusable due to the funny. Check it out:

 

Cyrus. Oh Cyrus. You big old goob. And see those laugh lines? He's aged up to Adult. :(

It's not funny anymore Cyrus. Now it's just disturbing. What is that face all about anyway?

 After such a very theatrical set of facials and bodily expression I had to check to see what was going on. This is the "Give inspirational speech" interaction it seems. O_O

Behind him Lottie is totally wanting to steal some of the gems still left lying around.

Ignacio feels it's more appropriate to point and laugh at his daughter while she gets ready to age up.

Poor Tibi. Maybe she remembered what happened at her own party, but she cried over that cake. Bawled. Bless her. (It was the negative check out new object interaction)

Cyrus was really upset that he didn't get any cake. Chick on the left is He and Olivia's oldest daughter Corinne. She's so pretty, and how I finally figured out my genetics settings in SP were right where I wanted them.

10 sim minutes later and he's still sad over not getting any cake. BTW- he and Ignacio? Enemies. They do NOT get along.

Tibi's Prom

So, I love what happened at Tibi's prom as it solved quite a few problems for me. For starters, since I'm jerking around her family a lot I really want her to get a happy ending. The moment she aged up to teen I sent her off to the Matchmaker at the Spa to see what was up, careful to check her gender preference before I sent her. Seeing that she's straight, I went ahead and set it for her to look for a male match. Nothing. Each and every score came up zero. So I checked the female list (since her male number was 8, and her female number was -4. Might as well right?) And again it was 0 for everyone in town. So I just kind of shrugged it off and figured she'd figure it out on her own in school where she's got plenty of friends. Then a few days before Prom our best friend Emily invites Tibi. I'm thinking "That's So Cool! Bestie's to the rescue!" Since Emily is dating Henry (His age is not what it appears in this chapter, he actually aged up a bit ago, but Layla didn't know that so we're leaving it that way) I thought of it only as friends. But once they got to prom together SP wasted not a moment in hooking them up. When I checked Emily's gender preferences she's got the numbers to be Bisexual, but her preference was for women instead of men. And by the end of prom? Tibi's numbers had changed quite a bit. As it gives her happy little moodlets and ensures she'll be happy out of the house I just had to keep it.

Chapter 2.32- Deleted Scene

 I had this in right after Layla is in her room looking out at the snow (To show the unseemly amount of flowers she has accumulated in there) and thinking of Helen. But the chapter is long and a little unwieldy as it is so it came out. It's not important but it makes me sad cutting it since it has a shot of the blue moon by Misty and a shot also of the purple lights on the house for Tibi. So it's here so that I can still show it all off. Sorry it's out so far behind the chapter it goes with. Life and all that.

 

          “Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” Tiburcia had stuck her tongue out as far as she could without hurting herself.

          “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” louder this time, as though the snowflakes drifting down would be more likely to drop onto her tongue if she were noisier.

          “Really, Tiburcia,” sighing wearily, Layla chided the girl.

 

 

 

          “Come on, dad! Flip the switch!” Tiburcia yelled, clapping her hands and stomping her feet against the cold.

          Rubbing her neck, Layla sighed heavily again. It had taken the adults all day to string up the lights the girl had picked. And Layla had been extra tired and sore all week. She blamed it on all the extra time she’d had to take tramping around town to find pretties hidden beneath the snow. Snow made everything a lot more difficult. How did her mom and dad make playing in the snow with their kids look so easy? She’d have to call her mom later to ask. It would flatter Helen.

 

 

 

          At last the house was bathed in pink light as Ignacio finally made it to the fuse box and flipped the switch.

          “Yeeeeeeeeeeesssssss!!! It’s wonderful! It’s perfect! I love it I love it I love it!” Tiburcia jumped up and down nearly knocking Layla over. “Sorry, mom.”

          Smiling broadly, she hugged the little girl.

          “It’s alright,” she told her. And really, it was. That reaction made all the extra work worth it.

 

 

Chapter 2.30 outtakes

 

 

I love the look on everyone's face. They're crowding closer and looking at each other warily. It was almost as if they all expected a melee to break out over the cake.

 

Layla is seriously concerned about Shad here. It seems popping your knuckles really grosses her out. Ha! It also took this pic to realize that Lottie and Shad's hair is the exact same color. I'll have to fix that next time I'm in since I'm fairly sure they aren't related.

Chapter 2.28 Outtakes

I had both Sally and Layla on OMSPs on the bed to pose them. Unfortunately, the Mourn interaction breaks in between poses. So each time I'd go to change someones pose I had to wait for someone to get finished with a cry. Take a peek:

And so forth. I love my girls but they were so emotional/hormonal it influenced a lot of what ended up happening.



Chapter 2.27 bloopers

NSFW!!! REALLY! TURN BACK NOW IF YOU'RE UNDER 18!

Animation bork on Layla. As a brooding sim she only cries about half the time for Helen's death. The rest of the time she broods. And this is always how it starts.

Now, me? I'd find that eyeball position rather headache inducing.

Not to mention that arm placement rather painful. I mean, really? How do you get that kind of clipping? It's like her nipple grew an arm!

Or Spooky Day. She could give the trick or treaters something to think about at least.
As an explanation on where she is in these shots: I actually moved them in to what I hope will be the legacy house at night since I wanted them in first thing in the morning for shooting. So they slept at that house before it was redecorated and she got these fun animation screw ups then.

Oddly enough, it took three tries at Helen's death (in an Alternate save! She really is dead yo) before Layla cried like I wanted her to. Really. At one point I played through the duration of the mourning moodlet and she only cried once that time. She's probably too immature to really mourn anyway, but still.
